Healing Amber Necklace
What is Baltic Amber?
Baltic Amber is a fossilized tree resin and comes in a variety of shapes and colours. Baltic Amber is made for wearing (not chewing or ingestion). Amber contains succinic acid, a natural analgesic and healing agent. Amber will warm against your body and the succinic acid will be absorbed through your skin helping with pain relief.
Used for centuries, Baltic Amber has been used for a variety of ailments from teething pain to arthritis. Scientific research has shown that succinic acid has a very positive influence on the human body. It improves immunity and the balance of acids when absorbed into the bloodstream, it stimulates the thyroid glands to help reduce drooling and soothe inflamed areas. Amber's anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties are recognised by allopathic medicine as a natural analgesic (pain reliever), which can help to relieve many painful conditions.
Material: Natural 100% authentic Baltic Amber is used to make our products.
Baltic Amber Facts:
- A natural analgesic (pain reliever).
- Amber is a fossilized resin, not a stone. It is therefore warm to the touch, as well as very comfortable and light to wear.
- Wearing Baltic amber necklaces and bracelets on the skin can have a soothing and calming effect on teething babies and toddlers.
- When amber is worn on the skin, the skin's warmth releases small amounts of healing oils from the amber which are then absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream.
- Amber's anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties are also recognized by allopathic medicine.
- In Austria, Switzerland and Germany, you will find amber teething necklaces sold in local pharmacies
Amber Colours, Styles & Sizes
Our amber pieces are hand made by our team of artisans in Lithuania. All sizes are approximate and have up to a 1 inch variance with necklaces and 1/2 inch variance with bracelets. Our amber pieces will stretch over time with wear.
What size to order:
Take a string and put it around your neck, wrist or ankle loosely and where you would like to wear it. Mark the string, place it next to a ruler or tape measure and voila ~ that is your size! Find the size that is closest to what you would like on your local retailer's website or walk on in, let them know your size and place your order.
Remember that the string your amber is on will stretch over time, but please don't pull on it as it may release the safety feature and your jewelry clasp will not work then.
Amber is a natural resin and comes in many shapes and sizes. The names of the shapes for beads are self-explanatory.....triangles, chunky, circles, mini-circles and ovals. They all have smooth rounded edges and have many variations within their own category - no two beads are alike (colour, shape and size)!
Amber comes in many different colours and shades and their names help explain how light or dark they are from gold to molasses! There are many variations within each colour and don't forget to look for specks of uniqueness throughout!
What is Raw Amber?:
ALL of our amber is raw amber, it is in it's natural state. When you see us describe a necklace or bracelet as 'raw', it means that it has a matte finish. The rest of our amber has been polished to shine! If you purchase a raw piece, it will end up looking polished over time.
